Manganas Steel creates objects intended to endure. Our responsibility to their quality continues after they leave our hands. The following policies explain that commitment and what you can expect when purchasing, receiving, and caring for your piece.

Limited Lifetime Warranty

Manganas Steel LLC warrants its knives and tools against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the original purchaser, provided that purchaser continues to own the product. Coverage begins on the original purchase date and is nontransferable. Purchases made directly from Manganas Steel or through an authorized retailer are eligible; proof of purchase is required.

For a covered defect, we will repair or replace the product at our discretion, without charge for parts or labor. If neither repair nor replacement is reasonably available, we will refund the original purchase price upon return of the product. Any additional remedies required by applicable law remain available.

This warranty does not cover normal wear, routine sharpening, loss, theft, or damage caused by misuse, accidents, improper storage, inadequate maintenance, or use beyond the product’s intended function. Damage caused by disassembly, modification, third-party components, or improper repair is also excluded. These activities do not, by themselves, eliminate coverage for an unrelated manufacturing defect.

Corrosion, scratches, patina, and finish wear resulting from use or exposure are not manufacturing defects. A defect in the material or application of a finish remains eligible for evaluation.

This limited lifetime warranty applies to Manganas Steel knives and tools, including Maison Manganas editions. Leather goods, textiles, and other accessories are subject to any separate warranty stated with the product and to applicable consumer protections.

Requesting Service

Please contact us through our contact page before sending a product. Include your order number or proof of purchase, a description of the concern, and clear photographs where possible.

We will provide assessment and shipping instructions. For a covered claim, we will cover reasonable shipping costs using a method we approve in advance. Any charges for service outside warranty coverage will be explained for your approval before work begins.

If a product appears unsafe or is not functioning correctly, discontinue use until it has been assessed.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights that vary by state or jurisdiction.

Materials & Individual Character

Patterned steels, exotic metals, natural leather, and hand-applied finishes give each piece its own character. Variations in grain, pattern placement, color, and patina are expected where consistent with the product description. Unless a listing identifies the exact piece being sold, photographs illustrate the model and materials rather than guarantee an identical pattern.

These variations do not excuse manufacturing defects or material differences from the advertised specifications.

For limited editions and Maison Manganas pieces, identical replacement materials or components may no longer be available. We will discuss any proposed substitution with you before proceeding.

Responsible Ownership & Liability

Our knives are cutting tools. Use them with appropriate care, keep them securely stored, and keep them out of the reach of children. Do not use them for prying, throwing, or other tasks for which they were not designed.

To purchase a knife, you must be at least 18 years old and meet any higher minimum age or other eligibility requirement that applies to your purchase.

Purchasers are responsible for understanding and complying with applicable laws governing the purchase, importation, possession, carry, transport, transfer, and use of their products. Availability on our website does not establish that a product is lawful in every destination. We may decline or cancel orders where legal or shipping restrictions apply.

To the extent permitted by law, Manganas Steel LLC is not responsible for injury, loss, or damage caused by misuse, unsafe handling, unlawful use, or modifications that cause the harm. Nothing in this policy excludes liability or limits consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Order Fulfillment

Every knife is individually inspected before shipment. This final review is part of our commitment to the object and its owner.

Unless a different dispatch timeframe is stated at purchase, in-stock orders ship within 7–10 business days after payment is received. Business days exclude weekends and U.S. public holidays. This is our processing period; carrier transit time is additional.

Orders are generally fulfilled in the order received, subject to product availability and any release-specific arrangements disclosed at purchase. Tracking information will be provided when your order ships.

If we cannot ship within the stated timeframe, we will contact you with an updated estimate and the applicable options to accept the delay or cancel for a refund.

Preorders & Production

Preorders reserve a piece from an upcoming production run. The product listing will state the anticipated shipping window and payment terms.

Because preorder funds support committed production, we do not ordinarily accept change-of-mind cancellations once production has begun. Any production-stage cancellation restriction will be disclosed before purchase.

Production estimates may change. If shipment cannot occur within the stated window, we will notify you, provide a revised estimate where available, and offer the option to accept the delay or cancel for a full refund. Where your consent is required and is not received, we will cancel and refund the affected order as required by law.

If we cancel a project or cannot fulfill your order, you will receive a full refund for the unfulfilled purchase. Production commitments do not override statutory cancellation or refund rights.

Shipping & Delivery

Available shipping services and charges are displayed at checkout or confirmed before payment. Domestic orders generally ship through USPS. International orders may use USPS, UPS, or another service suitable for the destination.

If your address cannot receive a particular carrier, please contact us before ordering. Carrier requests are subject to availability and confirmation.

Please verify your delivery address carefully. Address changes must be requested before dispatch and cannot be guaranteed once an order is being prepared for shipment. A signature may be required for delivery.

Carrier delivery estimates are separate from our fulfillment timeframe and may be affected by customs processing or other transit delays.

If a shipment appears lost, arrives damaged, or is marked delivered but cannot be located, contact us promptly. Retain the packaging and any damaged contents. We will investigate with the carrier and arrange a replacement, refund, or other resolution as appropriate to the circumstances and applicable law.

International Orders

International shipments are insured, subject to the carrier’s or insurer’s terms and exclusions. Insurance does not necessarily cover customs seizure or confiscation.

Unless expressly included at checkout or on your invoice, import duties, taxes, brokerage fees, and other destination charges are the recipient’s responsibility. Customs declarations will accurately state the shipment’s contents and value.

Please confirm that the product may lawfully be imported into your destination before ordering. We cannot guarantee customs clearance.

If a shipment is refused, returned, or seized because of import restrictions, unpaid destination charges, or incorrect information supplied by the purchaser, we will review the circumstances and applicable legal requirements. Where permitted by law, any refund may reflect documented, nonrecoverable shipping and return costs. We remain responsible for errors attributable to us.

Returns & Refunds

Please contact us before returning any item so we can provide the correct instructions and return address.

We do not offer returns or exchanges solely for a change of mind, except where required by applicable law or expressly offered with a particular product.

If an item arrives defective, damaged, incorrect, or materially different from its description, contact us promptly with your order information and photographs where possible. We will assess the issue and arrange the appropriate repair, replacement, or refund. The absence of a functional defect does not exclude a valid claim concerning damage, workmanship, or an incorrect product.

Please retain the original packaging where possible and package any authorized return securely. Original packaging is not a condition of exercising warranty or statutory rights.

For returns resulting from a covered defect, our error, or transit damage for which we are responsible, we will cover reasonable return shipping through an approved method. We do not charge restocking fees for these claims.

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method within the timeframe required by applicable law. Your payment provider may require additional time to post the credit.

For purchases made through an authorized retailer, please contact that retailer regarding returns and order refunds. Eligible manufacturing defects remain covered by our limited warranty.

Your Consumer Rights

These policies supplement applicable consumer law. They do not restrict mandatory rights relating to defective or misdescribed goods, delivery, cancellation, or refunds. Where a statutory cooling-off or withdrawal right applies, it takes precedence over our change-of-mind and preorder restrictions.
